So, a friend recently sent me a before and after picture of a women who had recently had a session with the Plasma Pen or Fibroblast treatment.
We are always researching the latest and greatest treatment devices and this one appears to be legit. XOXO
What is the Plasma Pen or Fibroblast treatment?
The Plasma pen is an FDA approved device to help with sagging skin, wrinkles, dull skin and dark circles around the eyes. The Plasma Pen is an advanced, non-invasive treatment device used to rejuvenate the skin and help with lifting, tightening and fighting the signs of aging. The pen is not only be used around the eyes, face and neck, but almost any place on the body. It targets fibroblast cells in your skin, which will produce more collagen and elastin to give you a more youthful appearance. The pen uses a gas from positively charged ions in the air.
What does Plasma do for you?
The plasma will heat up and create micro-trauma to your skin which is done with the tiny dots, also called fanning. The little dots are small blood clots that scab over the tissue but the dots are completely closed, which helps to prevent infection. This makes the plasma pen even safer than microneedling. The fibroblasts get stimulated in the skin, then they work to create white blood cells which repair the tissue damage. Look out younger skin.
Who should stay away from the Plasma Pen?
‘
Please make sure you understand the permanent damage that can happen to your skin if you have conditions that won’t allow your skin to heal. It is critical that you have your plasma pen treatment by a trained professional who understands the risk to the following clients and will be honest enough to tell you NOT to have the treatment:
• If you are breastfeeding, DON”T DO IT.
• HIV, HEPATITIS, and AIDS clients
• Lupus
• You are pregnant
• Hemophiliacs
• Breastfeeding
• Are currently taking Blood thinners, Cortosteroids or using Accutane
You can have the service but you may heal a lot slower
• If you are diabetic you may heal a lot slower.
• Anyone who is anemic
• If you have had cataracts
• Those people who bleed easily
• If you are prone to bruising
• If you get cold sores easily you would want to treat the areas with medications before the procedure.
• If you have an active eczema case going on
What is the recovery process for the Plasma Pen?
Recovery times varies from person to person because we all have a different healing process. Always make sure to ask your technician what to look out for during this time. The service can be a little uncomfortable, but the technician will use a lot of numbing cream before starting the process. They won’t use needles so don’t worry. Most will do the numbing process twice so the process won’t be bad at all. You may feel a little discomfort during the dot process but they are created fast and you won’t have any discomfort after the procedure is over.
Around day 2-3 the dots will scab up and itch a little so make sure to use the products you are given during the whole healing process time. You might notice the scabs darken during this time but what ever you do, don’t pick at the scabs.
At day 4 and 5 the tiny scabs will begin to fall off and you will be left with little pink dots and still some itching but you can begin to wear foundation again to cover these up. After day 5, new collagen is beginning to form, but it could take up to 12 weeks for the whole process to work.
Be careful about the Chinese knockoffs that you can buy on ebay and other places. You need a trained technician to perform the service because if they put the holes in your skin too close together, you could end up with open wounds that could cause excessive bleeding, keloid scarring, tissue scars, permanent brown dots in the skin or infections.
Let us know if you have an experience, good or bad with the Plasma Pen. WE want our readers to get the real experience. XOXO
