Many people have the dream to move or visit Hollywood. After living in Los Angeles for 3 years, my friends and I had the chance to check out a lot sites around Hollywood and West Hollywood. We hope you get the chance to visit soon. Fun times
First up in our guide is where are you going to stay?
The Charlie Hotel
This is a boutique hotel that was bought by Charlie Chaplin who then surrounded it with more tiny cottages and beautiful gardens. It’s not nothing else around LA.
Chateau Marmont
8221 Sunset Blvd., West Hollywood
Most people have heard of Chateau Marmont being it was where John Belushi sadly passed away but the hotel is a landmark for other reasons.
Hollywood Roosevelt
7000 Hollywood Blvd., Hollywood
If you are looking for a party hotel, this is inarguably the hotel for you. The Spare Room is a bar set up with bowling lanes. You also have the Tropicana nightclub near the hotels pool. In any given day in the summer, the pool is going to be packed.
Sunset Marquis
1200 Alta Loma Rd., West Hollywood
One of my favorite places to stay when I go back to LA, which has been too long. Any given night don’t be surprised if you run in to a famous actor or musician because it’s a hangout for the entertainment world.
The London
1020 N. San Vicente Blvd., West Hollywood

Places to Eat
Dan Tana’s
9071 Santa Monica Blvd., West Hollywood
Jones
7205 Santa Monica Blvd., West Hollywood
Musso & Frank Grill
6667 Hollywood Blvd., Hollywood
Tower Bar
8358 Sunset Blvd., West Hollywood
Pink Taco
One of my favorite places to eat is Casa Vega, where my friends Melanie, Preston and I pretty much lived. I actually did live behind the restaurant for a while in Sherman Oaks. It’s not Hollywood, but very close to drive to. You won’t be disappointed.
Another fav in The Valley is Bamboo, a fabulous Chinese restaurant
Places to Check Out
Curve is a great place to do some local shopping.
154 N. Robertson Blvd., West Hollywood
The Hollywood Bowl
2301 N. Highland Ave., Hollywood
The Classic Cat
Once a popular hangout for Jim Morrison, now the Classic Cat is a fun establishment to hang out with the girls and listen to their cool DJ sets, all while sipping a fun cocktail.

Hollywood Walk of Fame
Start your Hollywood sight-seeing adventure by checking out the Hollywood Walk of Fame. It’s actually one of the most visited sites in Hollywood.
Sunset Ranch Hollywood
One of the most popular things you can enjoy with your friends or family is going on tour riding atop friendly, well-trained horses at Sunset Ranch Hollywood.
Hollywood & Highland now called Ovation Hollywood
Really has it all, great shopping, restaurants and bars to check out.

Mulholland Drive
Are you in the mood for a sensational scenic drive? How about some celebrity spotting? If so, then you need to take a cruise of the storied Mulholland Drive
Laurel Canyon
Located in the western portion of Hollywood Hills, Laurel Canyon is a must-stop destination for diehard rock ‘n roll fans. Throughout the 60s and 70s, this mountainous area of LA was home to countless musicians ranging from Frank Zappa and Buffalo Springfield to Peter Tork, Carole King, and the Mamas and the Papas.
Comedy Store
Go see a comedy show at the famous Comedy Store. The Laugh Factory is a cool spot too.
The Grove
Great place for shopping, restaurants and live events.
LA Zoo
Other places to check out close to Hollywood:
Universal Studios Hollywood
Hollywood Forever Cemetery
Biking in Griffith Park
Check out a Dodgers Game
